Hey!~

How it goes? Let me start off by saying a huge thank you to all my friends, watchers and those who dropped comments and added my stuff to their faves~ I just reached 17,000 hits and I wouldn't get this far if it wasn't for you guys~ On that note, thanks as well to all who commented and faved Dangerous, which I uploaded yesterday~ I was actually hesitant to put it up, I asked people over at Facebook if it was worth submitting here. But with the amount of faves and nice comments I got, it seems there was no reason for me to hesitate. Thank you all so much!

And OMG! I just realized my deviation Reno has over 1,300 favorites!?!? I can hardly believe it, thanks to every single one of those who added it into their faves! Wow, guys! Just...wow! *still shocked*

Suspected case of H1N1~

Anyway, in my last journal entry I mentioned that I was coming down with a cold. Later that night, I was much worse and I started throwing up, had the chills and had a high fever. My parents rushed me to the hospital and I was diagnosed with a suspected case of Swine Flu. I was confined for 3 days, and missed class for a week. The doctor didn't give me a proper test though, they said it would cost too much if they do the test for everyone so it has become a rule to treat anyone who had flu-like symptoms like they would treat someone with H1N1. Well, I was better within a week, and completely recovered after a couple of weeks so thanks so much for all your wishes and prayers. If it was swine flu, then it really isn't so bad as people make it seem. It was only painful in the first couple of days, but after that I recovered quickly.

So I'm back in class over 3 weeks ago and have caught up with the stuff I missed. ^_^



Halloween Plans~

As we all know, Halloween is only a few days away! I did a mini survey in Facebook and asked my friends who they would like me come to class as, and the majority chose Lili Rochefort~ So I'm coming as Lili on Sunday (Nov 1st) and I did a few minor changes to my costume since I wore it to Metro Comic Con last August.

I also decided to do a spur-of-the-moment cosplay, which I'll also wear to class, maybe Monday or Tuesday of next week~ I won't say who it is at the moment, but I'm sure many would recognize her as she came from a really famous movie. *hints are around* XD I just bought a skirt for this cosplay yesterday, and I pretty much have the rest of the outfit and wig to complete it.

We sent an e-mail to all the professors and students asking them to dress up on Sunday. XD I hope more people would dress up this year~

Hey all~

How are you guys doing? I haven't been on much lately, I just came back from our Eid break and we didn't have internet at home. Well, it's starting to get cooler here in Qatar and season change = cold/flu season. I'm down with a bad cold again, just like I was the same time last year. I sure hope it's not the dreaded A(H1N1) virus! I'll go home to my parent's house tonight to check if I have fever and take some medication. I hope I'll be okay enough to go to class tomorrow.


Kiribans!

Anyway, I've been pretty lucky last week to have caught 2 kiribans from *Hatsune-Yuna and ~tritanoch!

Hey all!

How's everyone doing? Actually this journal entry is overdue because I've been back here since last week. We already started school and teachers are mercilessly throwing work at us non stop since day one so I couldn't sit and write a journal. I don't feel like doing work tonight and decided to finally update, but that means I have to wake up extra early tomorrow so I can make up for it. XD Oh well~ Long entry ahead!


Philippines!

To put it simply, the three weeks I had there are the best three weeks I've had in a long while. It's very different from Qatar...life in the Philippines is harder and a little dangerous but it made each day seem like an adventure! XD We stayed in different places, and there I experienced sharing a bed with all of my 4 siblings and taking a shower with water from a deep well. The streets are quite dirty in some areas, and initially we were shocked at how drivers can just go to the opposite lane when the traffic gets a little congested! My mom had a bad experience of having her cellphone snatched away too. But despite all that...I felt truly at home there. I haven't been there for almost 10 years, and being back there again reminded me of how much I loved the places and the people. Seeing my great grandma and uncle again, spending time with family and friends...it was just awesome. Even just staying at home was fun...we had many relatives over and there was a time when my siblings and I were singing karaoke with our cousins while it was pouring outside. *sigh* Good times...

We went to many places such as the Mall of Asia, Manila Ocean Park, and watched the noontime show "Wowowee" and my sister and I were on TV! And of course, there was Manila Comic Con~

Seeing other cosplayers, meeting a couple of my online friends...it was all so exciting for me! XD I met up with my friend ~advent-seer there and had such a lovely time. She was so nice to have stayed with us until we left, and she even cosplayed Leo from Tekken (the same series Lili comes from)! There was one point where she could probably tell I was freaking out a little at the people who were asking to take a photo, so she assured me that it's because they like my cosplay. It was obvious I was kind of jumpy to start with, and it was even captured on this video at 5:42! [link] Haha~

We met some very nice people there too like *kokimonster and ~tanakashinkei! We joined the cosplay competition, and although we didn't win anything, the experience of just being there was awesome.

I totally freaked out at the anime merchandise too!



There are anime shops in the malls and I bought some Final Fantasy VII (Cloud x Tifa!! ) mouse pads, posters, buttons, stickers and what not. [link] [link] I guess it's safe to say the Philippines is Cloti? *gets shot by Filipino Cleris fans XD* It's just most of the merch I saw seemed very pro-Cloti, and saw Cloti posters up everywhere. Also bought some manga [link] and anime DVDs~ I was truly a happy banana.


But the three weeks I spent there seemed awfully short. By my third week, I wouldn't leave my great grandmother's side and I didn't want to go back to Qatar! XD I also had to travel back alone because my classes start early so the rest of my family is still there in the Philippines! TT____TT
But they'll be back in a week, so it's ok~ Hopefully we'll be back there again next year.




New cosplay plans, etc.

I planned to do quite a few new cosplays during the summer, but I didn't get to do them because of our visit to the Philippines. They're all on hold right now because I'm pretty much broke, and it seems we're up for another tough semester. But I am working on a cosplay right now! It can be considered a closet cosplay, since the character doesn't have a particular costume and she's more known by her character. This is going to be another cosplay collaboration with a fellow deviant! Who I'm collaborating with, and who I'm cosplaying...you'll just have to wait and find out. But I think I left more than enough clues at the bottom for anyone to guess who the character is! XD

I'm guessing this project would go forward rather slowly though, because of school work, etc. but we'll see how it goes.

Hey all!

I won't be able to post a long journal right now, I just want to let you know that we arrived in the Philippines safely and we're doing fine. Philippines is great, lots of rain and it's awesome seeing our relatives again after almost 10 years. We just don't have a connection at home so I didn't get to check up on my stuff for quite some time. I'm so overwhelmed at all who faved and commented on my Dead Fantasy tribute to Cloud and Tifa. Even Sir Monty faved it! Thanks so much! I'll try to reply to everyone the next time we go to a cyber cafe, right now we're in a rush.

The cosplay event in Manila Comic Con is tomorrow, I'm dead excited and I'm hoping to see some of my friends there! I can hardly wait!
