Whew! This turned out better that I expected, so I decided to put it up!
It's actually just an experimental piece...I was just surfing the net when I came across these doujinshi: [link] . The art on most of them is gorgeous and I love the subtle colors in the covers so I wanted to make something similar.
A lot of people seem to dislike Misao x Aoshi because of the age difference. Well, Kaoru and Kenshin is widely accepted but their age gap is ever bigger than Misao and Aoshi's...I think it's because of Misao's appearace...she's only a year younger than Kaoru, but she still looks pretty much like a child. So I decided to make her all grown up in this piece, so that she can suit Aoshi more.
They are both leaders of the Oniwaban ninjas at some point. Aoshi was appointed when he was only 15, and Misao declared herself leader at 16. I never really paid attention to them before, but after watching the series again I found them kinda cute. He's hurt Misao by leaving her and the group, by almost killing Okina and by fighting Kenshin...but she still stays dedicated to him. All she ever wanted was to be with him, ever since she was a child. Even though Aoshi puts up this cold hearted facade, Kenshin can see through it and he tells Aoshi up front that he knows he has feelings for Misao too!

I love this, and these two are a canon couple. Yeah, they are ten years apart in age, but who cares. They do love each other. In the little side story in the big volumes at the end of the last, she walks to the picnic in a short-sleeved kimono, showing that she is married, and walks up to the picnic walking close to Aoshi.
